FOOTAGE has emerged that supposedly shows Soviet cosmonauts walking on the moon – before the Apollo 11 mission.
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed the lunar module Eagle on the moon on July 20, 1969 – 48 years ago today.
But did Russia beat the US to get the first man on the moon?
It’s rarely talked about, but the USSR got to the moon first.
The Russians landed the first spacecraft, beamed back the first pictures of the surface and the far side and the drove first rovers around.
But the US has always insisted Armstrong and Aldrin were the first men to walk on earth’s natural satellite.
More than half the British public believe NASA faked the Apollo 11 moon landing, according to a survey last year.
Bombshell footage supposedly showing Hollywood director Stanley Kubrick admitting he filmed the moon landing emerged a couple of years ago.
His family denied the interview was real.
Now a conspiracy theorist claims to have unearthed more “evidence” the official version of history is a lie.
A video has surfaced online, supposedly showing a secret Soviet moon landing.
Officially, no Russian cosmonaut has walked on the moon – and you would think they would want to publicise it.
For decades, the USSR denied racing the US to set foot on the moon but records later proved it was trying its hardest.
It is even rumoured to have covered up the deaths of cosmonauts who died in the process.
And a YouTuber calling themself The Unknown claims NASA astronauts found evidence cosmonauts beat them to the moon – and may have perished there.
